Chapter 1

¹The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah Ephraim and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah Israel.

¹¹"To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices to Me?" said AO: "I am full delight not of the in burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not nor in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats.

¹²Neither shall you come with these when you come to appear before Me; for who has required this these at your hand? Do you think I want animals to tread My courts courtyard?

¹³Bring no more vain oblationsThough you bring fine flour, it is vain; your incense is an abomination to Me; the new moons months and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies and the Great Day⁠1, I cannot away with bear; it is iniquity, even the your solemn meeting assemblies2.

¹⁴Your fasting and your rest from work, your new moons months and your appointed feasts My soul hates: they are a trouble to Me; I am weary to bear them.

²⁴Therefore said AO, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, "Ah, I will ease me of mine seek vengeance against My adversaries, and avenge me of mine take revenge against My enemies:

²⁷Zion For her captives shall be redeemed freed with judgment3, and her converts penitent ones with righteousness mercy.
